The objective of this Act is the conservation of the biodiversity and the sustainable use of the natural resources, and to distribute fairly the benefits and costs arising.

MTA Travel Solutions is a sustainable company therefore we understand and promote the biodiversity conservation and the sustainable use of the resources.

The National System of Conservation Areas (SINAC) is in charge of our protected areas and it does a great job but we all have to help. MTA Travel Solutions always works with its suppliers, allies, employees and clients in a sustainable and responsible way encouraging the correct use of the resources and distribution of the benefits and keeping all informed about the matter.

Forest Law (No 7575)

The forests are one of the most important natural resources that we have. Healthy forests mean healthy life. We all have to collaborate in their protection, conservation and proper management. The production, exploitation, industrialization and development of the forests must be done in a sustainable way.

We have to fight against the indiscriminate and illegal logging and the misuse of the forests. Costa Rica is one of the few countries in the world that increased its forest cover from 21% in the eighties to 52% in 2012, but there is still plenty of work to do.
