TAMARINDO MANGROVE & ESTUARY TOUR ON KAYAKS

Either single or double sit on top ocean kayaks will introduce us in to this nature lover's paradise; great quantity of fauna species and a very especial flora characteristic of this ecosystem, the mangrove. Using paddles, not motors, will give us the chance to observe the animals but not disturbing them, allowing us to have better pictures or if we have no camera to obtain better memories. After paddling for one hour, some fresh fruits will give us energy and hydration to continue enjoying this beautiful natural environment that is now considered as an international importance wet land (Ramsar site) in action.

LIBERIA SHOPING TOUR

You can still walk around the center of Liberia and have a glimpse of what was the white city. Historically, Liberia has been called "La Ciudad Blanca" because of its white adobe houses, white dirt roads and its people who dressed all in white because of the extreme heat. MONTEVERDE CLOUD FOREST ADVENTURE

This full day expedition features a guided visit to the Monteverde Cloud Forest, located on the Tilarán mountain range. Upon arrival, join your guide for a nature walk through the cloud forest, with several different life zones that are characterized by different types of plants and animals. Within this area are more than 2,000 species of plants, 400 species of birds, and 100 different species of mammals. Afterwards, enjoy lunch previous to an exciting zip line adventure to explore the forest from another perspective. Glide over the forest canopy and enjoy as well panoramic views of Guanacaste, San Carlos and Puntarenas lowland regions. In the mid-afternoon return to Guanacaste.

LORAS TURTLE NESTING AT PLAYA OSTIONAL

These beautiful sea turtles lay from 80 to 100 eggs each, weighing over 100 pounds and reaching over 2.5 feet long. The Lora turtle may become extinct within the next 20 years if their rate of decline is not stopped. Although chances to see these turtles are possible at any time the main season is between May - Feb with the peak in December but seeing hundreds of turtles at night is very common. Photographs are not permitted after dark.

EARLY BIRD WATCHING TOUR

With over 850 species of birds Costa Rica is a great place for bird watching. With the naturalist guide you will be able to view some of the following eye-catching species; The Cattle Egret, Crested Caracara, Laughing Flacon and the Squirrel Cuckoo just to mention a few. Our experimented guides will carry binoculars and field handbooks to help you understand and learn about these magnificent birds. This tour is better in the early morning or as the day cools into the evening when the birds are more active.

BARRA HONDA CAVES

The Barra Honda National Park has a peculiar attraction, its intricately large system of limestone caverns which house a multitude of capricious forms and figures. As we descent into the caves you will be in a surrealist underground setting, characterized by the constant sound of echoing drops and twisted shapes formed by hardened calcium. This hike takes around one hour and is difficult so you will have to be in a very good shape to do it.

BUENA VISTA COMBO

Glide through the air on the canopy in the shadows of the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano, and then take a ride on a horseback through the trails as you experience the beauty of Costa Rica. RÍO CELESTE GUIDED RAINFOREST HIKE

The legend tells that after God was done panting the sky, he washed the brushes in Rio Celeste (Light Blue River). Rio Celeste is one of the most wonderful places where you can watch flora and fauna. Once in the Tenorio National Park you will begin the hike through a primary forest with your naturalist guide who will teach you about the jungle and point out troops of howler monkeys prancing in the branches along with many other animals. You will have a strong hike in a real wild trail and full contact with the rain forest. The naturalist guide will explain about everything that you see. As you descend you will get to see the spectacular Rio Celeste Waterfall with its unique blue color.

CANOPY TOUR

The Colorado River is a narrow river where you will pass through canyon walls as you experience water rapids, lush vegetation, wildlife and pristine isolation. Upon your arrival you will receive safety instructions and then board your 2 person raft. Here you will have the option to be accompanied by a guide or to be close to them while they sail in another raft. This adventure will be an exciting tour for the beginner or the experienced rafter. Get ready to observe herons and iguanas basking on the riverside as howler monkeys play on the tree branches above you.
