Either single or double sit on top ocean kayaks will introduce us in to this nature lover's paradise; great quantity of fauna species and a very especial flora characteristic of this ecosystem, the mangrove. Using paddles, not motors, will give us the chance to observe the animals but not disturbing them, allowing us to have better pictures or if we have no camera to obtain better memories. These beautiful sea turtles lay from 80 to 100 eggs each, weighing over 100 pounds and reaching over 2.5 feet long. The Lora turtle may become extinct within the next 20 years if their rate of decline is not stopped. Although chances to see these turtles are possible at any time the main season is between May - Feb with the peak in December but seeing hundreds of turtles at night is very common. The Barra Honda National Park has a peculiar attraction, its intricately large system of limestone caverns which house a multitude of capricious forms and figures. This hike takes around one hour and is difficult so you will have to be in a very good shape to do it.

Once in the Tenorio National Park you will begin the hike through a primary forest with your naturalist guide who will teach you about the jungle and point out troops of howler monkeys prancing in the branches along with many other animals. You will have a strong hike in a real wild trail and full contact with the rain forest. The naturalist guide will explain about everything that you see. As you descend you will get to see the spectacular Rio Celeste Waterfall with its unique blue color.
